Hadn't been in at least 10 years. Was pleasantly surprised. Food was good, place was clean. Service was ok, but it was very busy so I'll give a pass. It did take 10-15 minutes to get a Topo when it was less busy. I had the Black Magic -Catfish was really good.

The Spirit of New Orleans is fine, fat, and happy at Bourbon Street. You deserve to experience the Preservation style Dixieland Jazz and incredible food. Randy's five-piece band featuring tenor sax local legend Rob Stokes will have tap and snap to Jazz classics. Talk to the mustached mix master, Tyler, about the classic cocktails that your Granddaddy loved; Old Fashioned, Manhattan, Martini ... Tyler will set you up. "Red beans and rice didn't miss her." Sir Mix-a-lot.

We had a nice Sunday lunch at Bourbon St. Cafe. Located on the canal walk it wasn't super easy to find. Not that it's hidden, just not great signage right on the canal. Easier to spot from street level. We were greeted before we could even get completely into the building. The host brought us to a booth and handed us two paper menus. One 'regular' and the other included a few brunch items (all had pork, so no brunch for me) plus lunch specials. We both went with a lunch special. First was shredded beef tacos. Three good sized tacos in soft corn shells. These were very tasty. Not spicy (two types of hot sauce on table) and the meat lean. The Satchmo salmon is also on the dinner menu. This lunch sized portion comes with your choice of one side. I went with the sauted spinach. Lots of garlic in the spinach, tasty. The salmon portion was a very good lunch size. My piece had several little bones. The fish is cooked nicely, moist and flaky and the sweet crab sauce very nice. Would order this again. They have a full bar, soft drinks and coffee (no hot tea). Plenty of apps, entrees and handhelds. Lighting is low. Background music a nice mix. Clean restrooms. Private event rooms. Park in the canal walk lot and walk over.

I stopped into Bourbon St. Cafe after enjoying some daytime drinks nearby on the mini river walk. We opted to sit outside right next to the river, which was a cool experience--there's something special about dining right by the water. To drink, I had the Blueberry Mojito, which was fantastic! It struck a perfect balance--not too sweet and not too strong. Definitely recommend it if you're a mojito fan. For starters, we shared the Boudin Balls and Alligator Bites. The boudin balls were incredible--rice, sausage, and cheese fried into perfection. We regretted not ordering a second round! The alligator bites were good, and while they're unique, I'd recommend getting them fried. Grilled might lean a bit too gamey, but fried with the accompanying aioli? Spot on. For my main, I got the Blackened Chicken Caesar Salad, and it was as good as a Caesar salad can get. The chicken was flavorful, and everything was fresh and well-balanced. Overall, Bourbon St. Cafe is a great spot for a meal on the river walk, with solid food, refreshing drinks, and an awesome riverside atmosphere. Highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area!

I was absolutely in love with the atmosphere within this restaurant! There was a live jazz band playing requested music from the customers and kept the environment lively. We made a reservation ahead of time because it was the weekend, and we were seated right as we walked in. Our server kept us entertained the entire night and served us well. We ordered the New Orleans Style Fettuccine Alfredo with Blackened Chicken and the Bayou Fried Catfish. Everything was delicious and fresh! The only thing I did not like was the size of their bread. It was too large and dry. The portion sizes matched the prize as well. Their Blueberry Mojito was the server's recommended drink, and it did not disappoint. It tasted like water (highly dangerous lol), I could have 5 of them but I would probably never make it out of the restaurant alive! If you are even in OKC and want to have a plate of Cajun food, this is the place you need to go to!

Almost felt like I was back in New Orleans! Great food, drink with a punch and swinging atmosphere. I enjoyed the whole experience. Loved looking at all the memorabilia around the place. Had some nice rooms for group functions. Nice outdoor dining space looking out at the river. Paid parking directly across the street.
